Isaac Montiel is a Senior at The New York City College of Technology. He is pursuing a degree in Computer Systems Technology and his professional aspiration is to work in the Information Technology field. He is currently working as an IT Intern with New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE). Joining CUNY DREAMers was his way to continue his long history of social activism and help the community of undocumented students. As a Co-President of CUNY DREAMers, he is responsible for overseeing and managing the work and performance of CUNY DREAMers’ overall operations with a primary focus on strategic planning, program development, public policy advocacy and resource development. In his spare time, he enjoys watching movies, motorcycle riding, traveling and listening to music.
Dale St, Marthe is a junior at York College. He is pursuing a degree in Computer Science with hopes of expanding that into a robotics career. Joining CUNY DREAMers was his way of finding a network of support and helping more people who are in the similar situation as him. As a Co-President of CUNY DREAMers, he is responsible for overseeing and managing the work and performance of CUNY DREAMers’ overall operations with a primary focus on strategic planning, program development, public policy advocacy and resource development. He has served in the Executive board as the Vice-President of Public Relations from 2015 - 2016 and during this time CUNY DREAMers online presence increased by an overall 85%. In his spare time he enjoys gaming and listening to music, as well as occasionally getting lost in a good sci-fi book.
Escarleth Fernandez, is an Dacamented student from Bolivia. She is currently a junior at Hunter College majoring in Media Studies with a concentration in and minoring in Chemistry. As the youngest member of CUNY DREAMers, Escarleth hopes to bring innovative ideas on how to help undocumented high school students. Additionally, as an advocate, she is trying to eradicate the idea that undocumented immigrants undermine American society. As the Executive Vice-President of CUNY DREAMers, she is undoubtedly the heart and calendar of everything CUNY DREAMers is doing. She makes sure that all
the puzzles are connected and functioning, assuring that communication is clear and transparent with all our students, allies and supporters. Escarleth spends her time off photographing something creative for Instagram or eating her way through NYC.
Mirella Ramirez-Munoz is a senior at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She is pursuing a degree in Political Science and Criminal Justice with the hopes of one day attending law school. Joining CUNY DREAMers was her way of engaging in social activism and an opportunity to help undocumented students access and navigate institutions of higher education. As Vice President of Public Relations, she is responsible for updating information on all CUNY DREAMers social platforms, preparing communication materials, and promoting events. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to Kendrick Lamar, running, and reading a good book.
